KIDS MINISTRY & NURSERY AVAILABLE FOR BOTH SERVICES

HELPFUL INFORMATION

  • We’re not moving to two services because we’re bored or looking for change—we’re doing it because of our mission to Love God, Love People, and Live Sent, and this next step helps us live that mission more faithfully.

  • We’re not chasing trends—we’re stewarding opportunities. God has entrusted people to us, and this step helps us be ready to receive more, not as a style change, but as a strategy shift to better support the mission He’s given Parkway.

  • When our rooms, parking, and kids’ spaces consistently feel nearly full, it can unintentionally signal to guests that there isn’t room for them. Moving to two services creates space—seats, parking, and kids’ rooms—so first-time guests can feel, “There’s space for me here,” while also improving flow in the lobby, check-in, and seating for families, especially on high-attendance Sundays.

  • Two services make an “Attend One, Serve One” rhythm realistic—allowing people to serve in areas like kids, nursery, safety, and discipleship while still sitting under the Word each week. We don’t want anyone to feel they have to choose between serving and being spiritually fed, and this model helps us care well for our volunteers while raising up new ones.

  • We’re already seeing signs of growth, and this step allows us to be proactive rather than reactive. It’s healthier to step into a second service now than to scramble once we’re maxed out. This move fits into a larger, long-term vision for campus use, future facilities, and reaching more people—and it’s our way of saying, “Lord, we’re ready for whoever You bring next.”

  • Some people may worry that two services might “split the church,” but we remain one church family—united around the same preaching, the same mission and values, and unified leadership. Two services simply create two opportunities for the same church family to gather for worship.

  • We will livestream one service each Sunday, and that will be the 9:30 AM service.

  • Prayer is not a department of the church—it is the lifeblood of the church. As we step into what God has ahead, we’re asking Him to deepen our culture of prayer, both corporately and personally, and to grow our reliance on the Holy Spirit in every decision and in everyday life. We don’t want prayer to be something we simply believe in; we want it to be how we live. So we’re inviting our church family to pray boldly for growth, deeper discipleship, meaningful connections, salvations, and baptisms. Beginning January 11, we’ll launch a 21-Day Fast as a way to reset our spiritual rhythms, renew our hunger for God, and start the year with hearts fully surrendered—trusting the Lord to do more than we could ask or imagine.
