Live Through Generosity.

It is that time of year when we at Parkway have the opportunity to live out such a key core value of our ministry. The core value is to Live Through Generosity: we generously dedicate our God-given time, abilities, and resources because Christ has given His all for us. 

Mike Stadelmayer of Church Growth Services, which helps churches grow generosity, states that “although overall charitable giving is up, giving to churches has dropped. It is estimated that 59% of churches have declining or flat line giving.” Let’s break that trend this Christmas season and reach our goal of $4210 toward The Presence of Light Christmas Offering. 

Paul wrote to the Corinthians regarding the gospel light, “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." (2 Corinthians 4:6)

This offering will be designated to four specific projects: locally to our partners at ECHO Ministry, where they help provide for the spiritual and tangible needs of children in transitional care. Second, nationally, to our church planting partners, James and Amy Tilson, in Reno, Nevada, for start-up supplies, materials, and outreach events. Third, internationally to our gospel partners Jeff and Elizabeth Carney for the radio station and gospel trail projects happening in the villages of the Yucatan Peninsula. Fourth, our church’s Missions Ministry will help with our ongoing global commitments to over 30 gospel partners.
